Hello, I'm Thiago Bertoldi.

I am a senior software engineer and researcher focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and systems thinking.

Currently, I work as an Expert Software Engineer at SUSE, where I help architect the observability tools that make generative AI enterprise-ready.

My Mission

Technology should empower people and respect their sovereignty. My work focuses on making AI systems observable, governable, and secure for the enterprise.

What I Do

I operate between hard engineering (Go, Kubernetes) and high-level AI strategy.

• AI Observability: Implementing observability with OpenTelemetry to see inside the "black box" of LLMs.

• Governance: Ensuring AI workloads comply with regulations like the EU AI Act.

• Open Source: I am an active contributor to the open-source ecosystem.

Academic Research

I am currently pursuing my MSc in Knowledge Engineering, researching generative AI governance. My background stems from Control and Automation Engineering, which gives me a unique control-theory perspective on modern software systems. I also hold a specialization in Scientific Computing.
